"Salsa Immersion - OUT to Dance - in Mexico with Liz Nania!"
- Celebrate the holidays in a special fabulous and fun dance week with

PinyataFieastaBocaBeach
Liz Nania director of OUT to Dance School in Boston

Imagine the best vacation of your life: Salsa dancing, art and cutural excursions in Mexico!
Immerse yourself in the joys of Latin dancing at one of the most beautiful and arts oriented
locales in Latin America, Casa de los Artistas. Expect a sunny mid-70s to low 80s climate while
dancing in the Casa open air studio overlooking the ocean, river and village. The Casa is not a Four
-Star luxury chain hotel, nor does it want to be, it is however a Five Star Retreat Center. It is located
on a mountainside and you may walk up 20 or 25 steps to your ocean-side room. You will walk a
woodsy uneven path for 5 to 10 minutes in the evenings to a local restaurant. The town is paved in
cobblestones. You will hear the natural sounds of the sea and tropical birds. It is all very safe and
friendly, a place where women do not fear taking strolls at night, but individuals with mobility
questions may want this information.
Salsa dancing will be our main focus, and we’ll also
enjoy a little merengue and cumbia on the side. Whether you have only dreamed of salsa dancing or
you have a little experience, you'll learn lots of exhilarating salsa in this immersion week. You'll also
enjoy several fantastic evenings of dancing. No partner or dance - salsa experience is needed. You
are encouraged, but not required, to change partners during dance classes. If you already know a
little salsa, you will get a good review and definitely learn some fun new moves. Liz will also
include a little instruction on merengue and cumbia, two fun and easy partner dances. Both
heterosexual folks and LGBT folks are all encouraged to join the fun. (Puerto Vallarta is home to
one of the largest GLBT communities in Mexico, so people of all sexual orientations will feel
comfortable in the salsa club and in town.)

After a delicious breakfast, you'll enjoy three hours of salsa classes every morning. Then get ready
for a mouthwatering Mexican lunch prepared by the wonderful Casa chef Ruby and her assistants.
Take the afternoons to enjoy exciting excursions provided by your hosts, or go on your own to
explore the incredible natural beauty, beaches, local culture, cafés and shops, or just take a siesta in
your private ocean-side room.

After dinner, enjoy an evening of dancing: one of three review and practice sessions, a dance party
with the locals on the premises, and a night out at the salsa club with a live band.

Additional activities available at the Casa:
When you’re not dancing: during the afternoons, your time is your own. Your hosts will offer you
four wonderful activities during the week, which are included in the cost of your trip (see below for
details). Or you can relax on the beautiful beach, stroll through the botanical gardens, photograph
the charming village, take a siesta, visit the zoo, go hiking, walking, sea kayaking, zip lining,
shopping in the Mercado, or exploring the galleries and cafés. You can also paint with your artist
host, Bob Masla, in the Casa studio, -enjoy peaceful alone time, or hang out with other guests.

The atmosphere: Bob Masla and Monica Levine have created Casa de los Artistas with love and
joy; they are committed to the growth of the individual on a creative and spiritual level, and they
have crafted a stress-free environment of acceptance for their guests. A sense of family often
develops among the participants in the workshops at Casa de los Artistas. The tropical fishing
village of Boca de Tomatlan near Puerto Vallarta is on the same latitude as Hawaii. Typical weather
in January is high 70's to low 80's, dry and sunny. With its spectacular natural beauty, it’s
a painter and photographer’s heaven.
You must be in reasonable physical health to access the Casa.
The studio is on the third floor and you must be able to navigate uneven terrain (paths) and cobblestone unassisted.

“This trip was the best I have had. I came with a loved one who
was doing the workshop, so it was a vacation for me.
“FANTASTIC” is the only word I could use and even it is not enough.
I have had some Great Trips before, but This Tops Them All -
Bar None!” -Charles Duncan, PLano, Texas - 2010, Casa Participant Guest

“What a special spot. I remember the beauty of the ocean and the mountains, the warmth and
friendliness of the people, the dogs and children free to explore on their own without fear.
I remember our wonderful Casa hosts Monica and Bob, Ruby’s gourmet food on the balcony,
dinners on the beach. I felt taken care of from the moment I got to PV airport until Monica
delivered me back again one week later.-Sylvia Rosenfeld, NYC. - 2010 Casa Participant
